Well done to City and Liverpool.

It's been a really close title race and both teams have had superb seasons. This season hasn't been a top four as much as a top two and a case van be made that these are the best two teams in Europe.

Liverpool must be wondering what more they could possibly have done. 97 points to finish second! This is actually more points that Liverpool has ever got l, even in any of their title winning seasons. Its even more than Arsenal invincibles got when they had an unbeaten season.

Klopp deserves tremendous credit for building a team of such high standard and they might yet win the European Champions League.

Well Man City, your standards are slipping. This time you only got 98 points instead of 100 and so only got the second highest points total ever, after breaking records last time. Pep should be fired. 😆

On a serious note, I've berm skeptical of Guardiola before but he has done fantastic. It's not all about the money either because look how bad Man United are and they have spent about same. Guardiola is ultra professional, improves players and produces dominant teams. Yes they haven't got got their way in the champions league again but the margins are fine in that contest and in the league, City are brutally consistent. Maybe a bit too good for the rest of the contest.

There is a record points difference between second and third this season. Also, none of the 'second four' look in any shape to improve enough to challenge for the title. Their task next season is just to narrow the gap because City and Liverpool are just so much stronger.

I've been sceptical about "Klopp" ... But you can't really argue with a guy that get 97 points in the premiere league. 🤔

Still, he kinda pushed Mignolet out of the goal for no really good reason. Giving other keepers the chance (specially last season), that did way worst then Mignolet. But he kept his descision. Also Origi got benched after being praised last season. (He actually praised Mignolet too)

Luckely for Klopp, Origi did his job in the champions league.

But maybe I'm just emotional... cause Mignolet is a Canary.
GOOOOOOOOOO CANARIES! 🐣

Annyway, pretty insane season in the English premiere league. It's good that there was at least competition for City (not like last year). You don't want to end up with a competition like Germanny or France where the same team kinda aces it season after season. It's nice for international football (Champions league) but it takes the fun out of a local competition. And Supporters still need to be attracted to fill up the stadiums.

@Kwek00 I respect you backing up your fellow Belgiums but Allison is an improvement on Mignolet. Not many Liverpool fans would disagree with me on that.

Origi is another player who would start for most teams but he's not as good as Firminio. At that level, you have to be brutal.

Yes, most European leagues are a one horse race these days and its good City got a challenge. The rest of the 'big six' really need to up their game though. Tottenham punch their weight but Chelsea, Arsenal and especially Man United should be doing better.

I think it's more likely that Everton, Leicester or Palace make the top six next time than it is for one of the second four to challenge for the title.

@Burnley123 Sure,

But he threw Mignolet out of the goal last season? And replaced it with... well 2 guys that screwed up pretty awfully. One of them also had the incredible bad luck to do it in a european game. Which was, well... pretty painfull. 🤦‍♂️

@Kwek00 Its true but Mignolet also made mistakes last season. He's a good keeper but not quite good enough for a team like Liverpool.

@Burnley123 I hope he comes back to the Canaries 🐣, He's good enough for us.

@Kwek00 What is your local team?
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Burnley123 STVV (Sint-Truiden) ... Mignolet played there for a few seasons. He still has a Coffee bar in the city. (He's a local boy)

<- A pair of hot chicks 😎🐣

@Kwek00 Cute. Here Norwich City are called the Canaries. My team is Burnley.

@Burnley123 Oh, you guys have Dufour playing for you. I got a love hate relationship with that guy.

There are a lot of Canaries out there. I said "GOOOOOOO CANARIES 🐥" somewhere, and the other person went: "wow, you are a belgian and support the brasilian team?"

That's how good my team is... They kinda do the world cup in disguise 🐣

@Kwek00 I heard how dafour left Belgium and it was pretty ugly. He can't go back to Anderlecht or Standard lol.

He's been pretty good for is as the technical player in a physical team. He was injured a lot last season though and he's getting old so he needs to do well to prove he can stay at this level.

Yes, Belgium had a golden generation of players though the next golden generation is from England because our acadamies have finally improved

@Burnley123

Defour (in his younger days) was a bit of an ass. He has grown up a lot. I was not really talking about his mentality outside of the pitch tough. You are totally right on his tehnical and physical skills. He can really hold a guy, and he dares to play rough. If he has a good day, he can be absolutely insane. But when he has a bad day, he's one of those players that really easily picks up a red card, the most ridiculous ways.

I'm not sure if you got the joke. But I meant that the national brasilian team, apperently is also populair under the name "canaries" 🤭
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Kwek00 Ah, I get you.

Canaries is an internationally popular name for a team in yellow. Like Nantes on France I think too

Burnley is a physical old style English team and Dufour is our most technical player. He's not big and doesn't run do much, but he can pass the ball better than any of our other players. He has a bad attitude sometimes but he does have skill.

Like I say, he was injured a lot last season and in this league, you always have to prove your relevemce if you want a new contract because all the teams have money and options.
