Depends what you mean by best. The teams usually expected to win the champions league are all dealing with similar problems and have been needing a refresh for a while. The premier league teams in it have good teams that have been more recently built and are not relying on players who don't have the legs anymore. Same reason Ajax are doing so well and I'd assume Porto although I don't know much about their current squad. The only games expected to test the PL teams so far were Liverpool/Bayern and United/PSG. Bayern have the problem already mentioned and PSG are serial bottlers and played with an undeserved arrogance against united that cost them.

Right now the English teams are doing the best yet I still don't feel it's likely any of them can win it. Wouldn't be surprised if none of them even made it to the final without drawing each other ensuring one goes through. None of them feel like they could be Europe's elite.

As for best as in most entertaining you already know my feelings on that馃槾.

@thatscottishguy Spurs beat Dortmund who are joint top of the Bundesliga. I think an English winner is 50 50 but the Prem has the strongest depth. Look what city did to Schalke and how bad Real Madrid are but still a strong third in the Liga

Tell me any of those teams feel like they could be the best in Europe for a while. City should be the closest but they've been looked at to do it for years and never felt close. Liverpool did well last year but also never really felt like they were at that level. Dortmund are only up there because of how bad Bayern are and were never taken seriously in the Champions League. The scoreline against Schalke was ridiculous but as I said do City feel like they're at the level? Real have been crap but I really don't imagine any English club would have done what Ajax done and would do well to edge a result.

It had 6 really good teams so in that sense yes no other league has that but none of them feel like they will become a European elite team. Also I have far more interest in the lesser teams in say the Bundesliga ans would say they're better than most of the premier league's boring mediocre teams for example maybe Leicster馃槤.

City are probably Europe's best team. Barca and Juve are also good but it's hard to judge cos of weak competition. Napoli and Dortmund are strong second in their respective leagues but nowhere near heavyweight standard. Bayern have declined, real are six teams in the Prem as good or better then Athletico.

Nobody else has depth and even the super elite are beatable

City aren't Europe's best team until they start proving it. Otherwise they're just like PSG.
