Ireland are (were) reigning champions and playing at home so this was a shock.

@SW-User Wales were lucky but still got an away win. They have been playing well for the last couple of years and could win the six nations.

@Burnley123 England are quite rightly favourites to be fair. The strength in depth is impressive.

@SW-User We have a huge player base so we should have a decent team. England have to be favourites after that but I don't think there is a huge gulf between any of the top eight rugby teams (apart from the All Blacks, obviously). Ireland are good enough to win four games and Gatland always produces good teams.
