Fav player? And your thots on Jose Mourinho?
When it comes to my favourite player right now I love david de gea I truly believe he is the best keeper in the world right now as for mournho I think we will win trophies under him but if history is anything to go by enjoy him now cuz in 2 years something will go wrong and he will leave he doesn't seem to have a long term stay anywhere

@Diesel95: Exactly. He is a nomad unlike Alex Ferguson or Wenger. He has a tendency to abandon ship when SHTF.

@Diesel95: He's got attitude too. Not that I'm complaining! He transformed a mid table team, Chelsea into a force to be reckoned with. He took over from Ranieri and the rest is history.

@Diesel95: Guardiola is off to a rocking start in EPL. MCFC is scoring goals and enjoying themselves on the pitch. They played really well against MUFC. Does that guy ever gets tired of hoarding trophies? 😀
Hey I'm not knocking the guy but to call him the best manager in the world is a bit premature in his first job he was handed the greatest club side in our lifetime with barcelona then off to Bayern munich where again he couldn't fail now with city I admit off to a roaring start but again massive cheque book and for me one of the best young talents in the world right now in Odion igahlo it will be interesting to see what happens at christmas time cuz unlike most countries we don't have a winter break here

@Diesel95: Umm interesting. MCFC was floundering last season. Pellegrini was a capable man for the job in my opinion. MCFC has to carry forward their momentum. Long season lies ahead, 34 games to go. My favorite all time football moment was when Aguero scored in injury time and the commentator went Ague-noooooo! It became a catchphrase ever since.

@Diesel95: I liked the old crop of MUFC players. Nistelrooy, Schooles, Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane, Ole Gunnar Solksjer. That's when my interest in football peaked.
It was certainly the best utd team I ever saw best part was we created most of it ourselves from the academy ya don't see that nowadays it's a shame and no matter what the experts say it has started to affect the English national team because most of the players don't play champions league football and that is the only way they are gonna get to the level required by international football

@Diesel95: My uncle, ardent MU fan always wax lyrical about the 90's. I feel bad for England. Great players but always end up being mediocre. Managers after managers came and went. Sven Erikson to McLaren(is he the Wally with the Brolly?), Capello and now Hodgson. Losing to Iceland in Euro games is a major moral blow tho
Honestly I don't get it we qualify for tournaments with amazing ease but when it comes to the big show we are choke artists have been for years with sven I think he gets a bad rap of the three tournaments he managed 2 of them we lost on penalties the other we lost to a brilliant Brazil side losing to Iceland is embarrassing we have the greatest league in the world but sadly it's all the foreign imports and the money men that make it that way
Neelaveni · 31-35, F
@Diesel95: I noticed that as well. There are less and less English players on the EPL pitch. With the kind of money bankrolling most EPL clubs, trophies that matter not cultivating local talents. Sheiks, oligarchs and foreign tycoons don't give two hoots about local talents ya know.
Amen right now there is a talent at man utd called Marcus Rashford who if his first 6 months or so is anything to go by is the future of English Football the kid is a phenom but of course he sits on the bench when he should be playing I think he could have made the difference if mourinho had played him I just hope he doesn't become another what might have been we have had plenty of those in the last 15 years or so

Raheem Sterling, Adam Lallana, James Vardy are England's best bet for now. Rashford is very young and he has a bright future ahead. If only he stopped warming the bench and be given the opportunity to play. I still remember,He scored his debut goal and the next day he had to go back to school. They did an article about that. Haha
Yeah i remember other thing is if what they are saying in the press is right the kid is so grounded I honestly think if mourhino gave him the oppurtunity the kid could make the difference this year last season the inter play between him and martial was phenomenal we have a great future right there only trouble is we have a manager that only cares about the here and now as far as sterling goes I don't know what pep has said to him but my god is he getting the results early on he looks a different player

@Diesel95: My favorite football nation is Spain. They peaked when they lifted the World Cup in 2010. But since then they regressed so much. Hope La Roja can bounce back on track. England seem to have the quarter final curse. Hehe. I still remembered when Frank Lampard's goal against Germany was disallowed eventhough the ball crossed the line. This was before goal line technology mind you.
Honestly in that game I think lampards goal even if given would have been irrelevant the germans were just plain better than us that day but I do agree that Spain have kinda regressed but in honesty that was always gonna happen that team was just phenomenal and it all came from academies most of the players in that side came through barcelonas academy that is what truly makes them great barcelona right now along with a couple of other teams in Europe stick to the philosophy of nurturing and bringing through young talent

Brazil introduced Jogo Bonito, the Dutch with their Total Football and the Spanish popularized Tiki-Taka. England need to come up with something and pronto! Afterall you guys created the game in the first place. Back to Lampard, I remembered him saying after the game that if only the goal was allowed, the whole texture of the game might be different. They were 1-1 at that time I guess. But England went on to lose 4-1.
We were actually 2-1 down see I don't the game would have changed we were a mess at the back and honestly the Germans have it in tournaments they just do no mattern what generation what team or manager when it comes to the big dance they know how to win just like the italians and the brazilians England just don't have it when it comes to major tournaments it's excuse after excuse truth is because of all the foriegn investors and the money thrown around the kids in the academies have no chance prime example is this transfer window between the the 20 premier league clubs spent over a billion pounds this window with money like that being thrown around the England team have no chance
