Mourinho sacked. Was it his fault?

Too many players simply not good enough but Jose has no interest in helping them improve. Only interested in buying and right now United can't attract the best. They put huge pricetags on pretty average players. The best team now takes players and improves them. City may spend more money but what has made them one of the best teams the premier league has ever seen is the improvement Pep and the coaches have brought out in most players.
@thatscottishguy he is not prepared to ciach, he complains about the team but he has a world class side

Also he doesn't like so many of the players and then most of the best ones are sitting on the bench because of it. I'd guess he was sacked now so that these players don't all leave in January.

@thatscottishguy Good points there. He has lost the ability to build a team with an identity. City has an identity. They have a plan and sign players to fit a specific system. Its the same with Liverpool, Spurs and latterly Arsenal too. The latter three have spent a LOT less than United and have much smaller wage bills but maximise their resources.

I think United have had an imbalanced transfer policy since they lost Ferguson and pay too much for players based on the short term. Mourinho can't complain though because they have bought him what he wanted up until this Summer. What I can't understand is that they didn't back him in the last window but didn't sack him either. Halfway house never works.

Was strange that they didn't sack him then as they clearly didn't have faith in him. Maybe they didn't have a chance to bring in who they want or they just thought we'll see if he can improve the current team when he can't get shiny new toys.

Jose wasted millions on shit players, Lukaku, pogba , Sanchez paying his disgusting wages, but players have to hold there hands up as well, if they got it in for the manager they don't perform but still pick up there wages, so the manager gets sacked, same happened that to Jose at Chelsea's hazard and few others not interested so Jose gets sacked

Thing is Pogba, Sanchez and Lukaku aren't shit players. Yes they do have attitude problems but it's not helped when the manager is a child who falls out with everyone.

@Nyloncapes I think Pogba and Lukaku are much better than they are showing because they were both really good in the World Cup. That points to a failure in man management. I think Sanchez is a busted flush though and probably past his peak.

@Burnley123 Agree but they are a disgrace they still get there wages so they should perform for the fans who pay out good money to watch there team week in week out, think pogba can't handle the pace of premiership , he was great in Italy but much slower pace and he got more time on ball , not like premiership
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Nyloncapes I think both suffer from Mourinho's tactical straight jacket. Literally, none of the attacking players at United has played to their potential consistently and that has to be down to the manager. I think Pogba is part of the problem though because he has an ego as big as Mourinho's.

Also look at the ones who do try. Lingard, Rashford, Martial, Mata etc. All guys who Jose has gone off and one point (always seems to hate playing Mata). They have got back in the team bc he has no other options and even though they do their best with no coaching from him whatsoever it seems, he still trashes them in press conferences. I agree you should play for the fans but when your boss is constantly a dick and publicly blaming you for everything it would be rather hard to get motivated. Plus it's premier league fans so it's all fucking tourists anyway😂.
Everyone does seem to forget he still won 3 trophies in 2 years....was he really that shit?

@InOtterWords TBH I think he is if you look at United's expectations. They have virtually the same budget as City but are absolutely nowhere near that standard and they are definitely the worst team in the top six.

@Burnley123 I go as far to say worse then my team I support crystal palace lol 😀

@Nyloncapes They are still better than Burnley though. ☹️
