Serena Williams needs to learn how to lose.

That's gonna go down as one of the biggest meltdowns ever. And the one who stayed calm and collected is the one who won.

I think it's ridiculous for one of the greatest women to ever play tennis to disrespect their sport in the finals like that. That's like if Messi got a double yellow in the World Cup final and then yelled at the ref for 5 minutes.

I hate how she brought up sexism. That's one of the greatest female athletes ever. She of all people should know what working hard does for you. The judge was Hispanic, what if he turned around and said "Well are you calling me a thief because I'm Hispanic?" I'm not a tennis savant but she just didn't know when to stop. He didn't owe her an apology. Saying "I'm not a cheater" to a ref somehow does not automatically excuse you from a penalty, and everybody in every sport knows that arguing with a ref gets you nowhere.

Anyways, just goes to show what staying locked in does. Congratulations to Naomi Osaka, since it's not fair to let Serena steal the moment from her.

So true. You hit the nail on the head. I guess I am confused, how could it be sexism when both women are just that, women? Does she think because the ref was a man his calls were based on her being a woman? Yet, she's played against another woman.. Maybe Naomi is a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman and Serena thinks Naomi is really a man???? 🤔
