Who are the favorites for the soccer world cup?

And who can spring a surprise?
SW-User
We are always among the favourites...fingers crossed!...and...it´s football for us, not soccer.

@Dobsdobs You also asked about surprises, didnt you? We keep our "heroes" in our hearts, not matter which club they play for....anyway, I prefer to wait and see what happens, I dont usually keep high expectations, so I dont get high disappointments...😊

@Dobsdobs It was wrong of me to leave out our wonderful authors (Paulo Coelho) and sngers...our music, both about rythm and melody...I´m a fan of my country as you can see, my people, our life styles, etc.

By the way...I love that dog on your profile pic...one of my passions!... 😍

@SW-User I love dogs too!!

And ya, you have great music in Brazil. In fact you have a lot of great stuff going on there 👍

I made Germany favourites but I think they've chosen the squad poorly. Too much experience, not enough pace. Now I would say France.

I think if Salah is fit Egypt will get out of their group.

France could be be the team that comes through...@CheshireCatalyst
Dobsdobs · 46-50, M
@CheshireCatalyst How would you rate England's prospects?
CheshireCatalyst · 36-40, M
@Dobsdobs I think it's a much better team than the last ten years, my worry is that there isn't enough creativity. Lots of pressure on Dele.

Spain 13-2
France 7-1
Argentina 10-1

@Picklebobble2 Ya the openness of it is what interests me this year. Absolutely no firm favorites this time.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Picklebobble2 I think Argentina are massively overvalued.

They have the best stock of forwards in the world but can't play them all at once. Their defenders and midfielders are average.

The biggest problem is that they have a coach who is committed to a style which doesn't suit the players. He did great with Chile but you can't play a pressing game when you have slow players.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Burnley123 I agree. One of the factors that influences their odds i think.
Could be a really open tournament with a few surprises.
SW-User
You can't bet against the Germans or Brazil. As for surprise...Belgium. They have the players and a favourable draw
Dobsdobs · 46-50, M
@SW-User What about the Argentina? Portugal? Thye have the stars.
monte3 · 70-79, M
Germany, Spain,
It is sad that after the US did not make it (how the blip did that happen?). How little it seems to talked about here.
Dobsdobs · 46-50, M
@monte3 It's still not caught on well enough for it to be a talking point.
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
Germany for me , got loads young players coming on, and experienced players, Brazil no chance in Europe, surprise teams England and France
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
England will win. Everyone knows we have the best team and they are scared of us.
thatscottishguy · 26-30, M
😂😂😂 You sound like a hun.

@thatscottishguy I saw you on the comments.
