Anyone here a fan of taekwondo? I started later in life, at 33, but I love it. I'm not a good sports fan, but appreciate the physical abilities of sports and related skills. I'm nearly 41 now and still enjoy the workout

@sarabee1995 that's awesome!
I started taekwondo after my kids did. All 3 of them did it, but only two practice currently. My son and I are danbo black belt. We have yet to earn our first dan, but working towards that goal now. I was just a mom wanting to lose weight and get in shape...I got all of that and much more :-)

@chameleongirl That's awesome. My grandfather took taekwondo with me in the beginning and we received our first dan together. :)

I enjoyed it when I did it for about 6 months, but then some of the higher belts felt they would be men by treating me badly. I was 52 at the time and one thought it would be funny to throw me over his back, before I had any training in falling. Hopefully, this club was unrepresentative of the great majority! I'm glad you found a good one!
