YES ...... Well, humans think, feel, have all types of emotions and think all types of thoughts.
That is the soul! The soul is who any individual is. Without the soul these bodies would be a lifeless clump of flesh, unable to function in any shape form or fashion. The soul is housed and what we call the brain and controls the functions of most of the body.

Most Animals think, feel, have types of emotions and think different thought, . Others living creatures can be said to react to instinct or necessity like insects, fish. The difference is separates humans is the portion of spirit of God that resides in humans, which makes humans more capable and understanding. You can teach a an animal some things, to do or not to do, to react to you but you can't teach an animals a difference between right and wrong Good and evil.
