Jesus says you are good enough. You have been chosen by Almighty God. Not because of your/anyone's righteousness, but because of HIS.
The Bible verse that states we are made righteous through faith in Jesus Christ, is 2 Corinthians 5:21. This verse highlights that through, and because of Christ's sacrifice, believers are seen as "righteousness" for Jesus' sake, in God's sight. In other words, Jesus stands in front of us as our only Mediator, Savior, and Redeemer, before Father God....eradicating our sins with his precious blood, so that when we stand before God, all He sees is Jesus' righteousness, which has covered and washed away all our sins.
"There is, therefore, now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Romans 8:1
Romans 3:22: also speaks to this, stating, "This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe".
Romans 5:1: adds, "Therefore, since we have been made righteous through his faithfulness, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ".
These verses emphasize that righteousness is a gift received through faith in Jesus, not something earned through works.
Philippians 3:9: also mentions being "found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith".
