God Didn't Leave Us to Guess About His Existence Nor His Triune Nature and Essence

Look what God made, just last night!

God Didn't Leave Us to Guess

No one will be able to make the excuse that they didn't know God exists... and that God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit, created everything. That is why scripture confirms that each, making up the Godhead, created not only the whole world, but everything that was created:

Genesis 1:1:
"In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth."

The Godhead, which we call "God", is triune...three persons who operate/function as "One". Otherwise, the following verse would not have described God's actions as "us":

Genesis 1:26-27:

"And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over all cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God, created He man; male and female, created He them."

Describing God as "triune" fundamentally addresses His nature or essence, specifically His existence as one God in three distinct, co-equal persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). It's crucial to note that the Trinity is not a belief in three separate gods, but rather one God existing in three co-equal persons. Here's a more detailed explanation, in verse:

The Spirit of God:

The verse "And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters" (Genesis 1:2) is referring to the Holy Spirit.

In the context of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19, Jesus instructed His disciples to baptize new followers of Christ "in the name of 3 PERSONS.... GOD the FATHER, GOD the SON, and GOD the HOLY SPIRIT," meaning that those who are baptized, are acknowledging the authority and work of [b]all three persons of the triune God.

Understanding the Trinity is important because it helps followers understand who God is, how He relates to humanity, and how to relate to Him.
