I find it interesting people "thank God" for when something great happens to them
Like I guess you're special that God has chosen you. I guess everyone else doesn't deserve it. 🤷♀️

We don't think ourselves more special than others. The Bible says to give thanks to God for all things. And to love everyone. There's not one thing wrong with that. We should be grateful for everything we have, and when we are, it is okay to give voice to that, without being ridiculed.
None of us deserve anything. We are all with sin, and none any better than the other. But God loved us enough, anyway, to provide for those who wish to allow Jesus to save them from the condemnation that sin placed on all of us, salvation in Christ. He loves you just as much as he loves me. He does not categorize his love for people. He loves us all the same and he died to save the whole world, not just some.
