So God created earth in 7 days, but what about the rest of the the universe?

Is the other 99.99 repeating percent just "and the heavens"? Is the afterlife heaven one of the gazillion other planets? What is the purpose of the rest of those?

"And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day."

-- Genesis 1:16-19

Of course, the plants had started growing on third day which makes all the sense in the world. 😆

@NorthernBear Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. in six days the Lord made heaven and all that is in that and earth and all that is in that and the sea and all that is in that
@fellowchristian or so the Bible says... No need to get angry, but it would be nice to answer my question in your own reply.

It's just a fairy story. The writer obviously didn't know anything about the rest of the universe or, if they did, chose not to include it in the story.

I thought it was 6 days and then he/she/it sacked out to recover and reconsider if it was a good idea on the 7th.

They were just prototypes
@SW-User that's a lot of prototypes to end up with something that's still as flawed as earth. 😅

God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days and on the seventh day, He rested.
@GodSpeed63 recovery is part of the process too. Yes, that answers one question, namely that the universe is called the heavens. But does it say anything about which heaven/planet is the afterlife?

@NerdyPotato
But does it say anything about which heaven/planet is the afterlife?

In the book of Revelation chapter 21 and 22
@GodSpeed63 hmm, not much there to be honest. It only mentions that he created earth and one heaven (not which one) that's still in existence and then rambles on about Jerusalem as if that's the only part of earth he cares about. That does explain a lot about what's happening in the rest of the world, but doesn't explain how the rest of the universe came into existence or what's up with the gazillions of other planets.

For you and me a day is 24 hours... But how about for thise living in Mars?
A day a period someone working in a single stretch.
@fellowchristian a day on Mars is 24 hours, 39 minutes and 35 seconds. But my question wasn't about how long the creation of earth took. That could indeed be God days which could be the equivalent of several human millennia.
I think each one is an experiment .

You know, wjen you create an experiment , but each petri dish has a different variable ?
I think the other planets , and us , are gods petri dishes.
@OogieBoogie it definitely looks more like he's experimenting on us than loving and helping us.
@NerdyPotato i think about tjis type of thing alot .
This is my current theory :
I think god created us to understand him/herself better.
I think he/her has created many species to do this. ( Angels are but one example. And maybe even animals are part if this concept too)

I imagine he/she has different parameters with different species, ie: the angels have suprnatural traits, eternal existence, and no free will.
I know that if god does "care" about us, he/she seems pretty brutal about it.
But then , we are brutal to ourselves.

Also, this may not be the first version of us. There is a reason weve been given free will outside gods design.

Imagine - if you were an all powerful being and could do anything, itd be ever so easy to fix mistakes along the way and make utopia happen. But then you dont get to learn about yourself.

If we are a representation of god , we are his good traits and his bad.

Its not until we hit crisis do we truly know ourselves .
Maybe this is part of gods plan. To see what this mortal physical representation of him/herself does when it reaches crisis and is tested.
What does it do when bad/awful things happen, what does it do when its helpless?

I mean , i kinda find it amazing that so many think such an omnipotent being WOULD be kind !
Having that much eternal unlimited power would easily turn one conceited.
If creation is gods making, we are nothing but a blip on screen of eternity ......nothing but a single grain of sand on a univesre of beaches .

Maybe....we arent as important as we think we are .😏
@OogieBoogie that's a very interesting theory! One that makes a whole lot more sense than the Bible. Thanks for sharing!
