We're all going some place when we die. Where will that be? Wherever you decide.

[c=008099]Jesus didn't leave us to guess. He told us our soul never dies. He said it ends up in one of two places, for eternity, and we get to decide which place that is. God doesn't make that choice for us.

It's so simple, some miss it altogether. God spelled it out for us, in His Word.

Jesus said we all have a sinful nature, and sin is the ONLY thing that condemns us and keeps us separated from God and heaven. It only makes sense that heaven wouldn't be heaven, if we dragged our sins in with us.

Jesus said, "Come to Me in prayer, if you love, and long to be with God for eternity. I will forgive your sins, so they no longer condemn you nor keep you separated from your Heavenly Father. I will see that you are forgiven and kept eternally secure by My grace, and through your faith in Me."

Why do we make that to be something hard to do, when it is so very simple? God is no liar. He loves you beyond all human understanding and wants you to be with Him in heaven. However, if you leave your soul's destiny to chance, sin will keep you forever separated from God. So you can see just how important it is, to prepare for the afterlife, right now. [/c]

So if only christians can enter heaven, how did people enter heaven before your religion was made up? SMH at the ignorance here.

@Jenny1234 Sorry to intervene. I wished you could have posted your query in a bit more polite manner. It is a very good question though.
Let me try to answer you. There is a difference in the way salvation was achieved prior to Jesus and after Jesus. There has been a progressive revelation right from Adam, Moses ... to Jesus.
We all know that Jesus sacrificed for mankind on the cross. Now there should not be any doubt about what is required from us to enter heaven.
I do not agree that there is any ignorance here. We all can learn from each other.
I believe you are coming from a different religious background and find the concepts in this post difficult to comprehend.

@SW-User I just can’t with the ignorance here

@Jenny1234 Dear Jenny,
With all due respect, it is easy to be judgmental and term someone as ignorant. What you refer here as ignorance is purely subjective. I have never been rigid in communicating my ideas and have always been receptive and open to others opinion.
If one were to believe that Christians are ignorant, then one third of world's population has to be ignorant. Let us filter out about those people who were raised in the historical places where physical presence of Jesus was there during his times. Christianity has been accepted in every remote parts of the world irrespective of culture, race or geography. How do you justify that ?

@Jenny1234 Who are you calling ignorant here? Show me where I once said only Christians can enter heaven. Don't assume. That was really rude.
@Jenny1234 I did not speak in my post about any religion. Religion does not get us to Heaven no matter what denomination we are. I spoke of a relationship with the Lord. Big difference.
@Ferise1 Ah, now we see the real you.
@Ferise1 It is hardly blind. People (any people) who follow Christ, know exactly what we believe, and why.

@Ferise1 Feelings have nothing to do with salvation. Again, it's not blind faith if you know exactly what you believed, and why. Jesus didn't leave us to guess about how to get to heaven. He told us exactly how to get to heaven, and he said those who say there is no God, are blind. Spiritually blind.

@Ferise1 There's no guessing. I know, by the Holy Spirit that Jesus placed in me and every believer, as promised, when we asked Jesus to forgive our sins and be our Savior. Scripture confirms it.

@Ferise1 I have, and do. He lives in me, just as Jesus promised. However, salvation is not based upon feelings or performance. It is based on the promises of Jesus. The Holy Spirit transforms the heart and lives of believers upon receiving the third person of the trinity, the Holy Spirit.

@Ferise1
you’re enslaved
Sin cannot enslave one, if they make up their mind to turn from it and ask Jesus to give them a new life in Him. God’s redemptive plan sets us totally free from the stain of sin. Jesus forgives and washes our sins away and He remembers them no more. While sin brings nothing but condemnation, separation from God, and spiritual death, until we repent and receive the free gift of God, which is forgiveness and eternal life in Christ Jesus (Rom. 6: 23). God gives us spiritual life; Satan gives us spiritual death. But God's truths always set us free.

@Ferise1 You can disagree, but need not mock someone who is trying to help you!
