Conditioning. I grew up in a small town that literally had only 2 black people. The school did not celebrate Martin Luther King day and I was constantly hearing about the nearby big city and all these crimes being committed by black people. My Dad was also always telling me that black men love to date white women and abuse them. In highschool we moved to the city where I attended the big public school. The school had it's own policeman and there was so much fighting practically daily mostly by the black kids from the ghetto. A group of them tried to rape a girl in the parking lot one day during lunch. One kept trying to proposition me for blow jobs and when I told him no he called me a dyke. I'm not racist but I think I have been conditioned to not be romantically or sexually attracted to certain races. When you start learning this stuff from such a young age it can be hard to disentangle from it because you think of it as a safety and survival mechanism. Nowadays I can be friends with black people but am not romantically or sexually attracted to them. Some have called me racist for this but I can't help it.

@SW-User sorry you had to go through that and no, of course you're not a racist any more than a gay dude is a sexist for not being attracted to women.
