I Believe In God

I don't have a problem with people believing in atheism, everyone has a right to believe in what they believe in however I do have a problem with SOME(note some, NOT all) atheists are judging people who do believe in "God" or a higher power than us. Maybe I see this as a biased view however I see some atheists go out their way to attack anyone who has a different view. They're so hypocritical in the fact that some say "don't pre judge people by their sexuality" yet they will judge someone by their religion. Like none of them should be attacked.

It annoys me that some of them assume we're closed minded, conservative, idiotic people that who hate basically everyone.
I mean that's the case for some extremists but there are so many good people who believe in God who'll help you. I mean, I fainted once in public and the only person who helped me was a Muslim woman, she didn't had to but she wanted to and to this day, I'm so thankful for that.

It also actually in general annoys me also that they assume that all people have to be religious to believe in God. I believe God and science co-exist yet apparently I'm "close minded" and "wrong".

Truly, no one knows the answers, all our beliefs are just theories but what is wrong with having faith? Like as long as you're a good person, it honestly don't matter.

See, these religous text have a nice technique of sneaking up behind the soft impressionable minds of children, and its when the kids start asking questions when ignorance is at its peak. You say you believe god and science co-exist and with this belief can you explain why science is leading the advancement in every part of your(our) existence when religion has done nothing without reffering to the gaps. And this co-existing thing is it the same as Kent Ham with his dinosaurs living with humans? No, no ONE person knows the answers and that is why science COLLECTIVELY come to a decision after extensive scrutiny and peer review. That fictional book has so many contradictions that a detrimental to our species progress. If a person is laying on the floor experiencing spams and foaming at the mouth its not because they are possed by demons...its not because got has a greater plan for them through suffering, no! your having an epileptic attack. Science closes the book on dumb, backward, detrimental beliefs.

Maybe you didn't read my last paragraph clearly however I even said "Some atheists assume that you have to believe in religious to believe in God" which includes myself.
But hey thanks for proving my point, you're in an experience for people who believing in theism yet you're attacking them for their beliefs.

It's actually pretty ignorant that you're judging me? Unlike most children, I was brought up into a agnostic family and was allowed to choose my beliefs. I studied science and I studied religious education at high school so I could futuer my knowledge about all the faiths and theories out there to find what I was looking for and I felt theories like panentheism was for me as it personally made sense in my head as it included my spiritual beliefs and my scientific beliefs. How is it ignorant of me to look into other faiths? I mean surely that's a good thing that I'm making my own choice, not a choice by someone else.

This is what I was talking about, the thing is you see two boxes. Religion and science and you think you can only tick one.
I dislike religion for the fact that it so constructed, however that doesn't rule out stuff.

You know what is ignorance though? Pre judging my beliefs. Can you tell me where I said I was a Christian at all? I mentioned nothing about the bible.

ebana, this girl... You can retrackt your claws miss, I don't understand why you're agro-defensive. First of all your post is under a headline that says I BELIEVE IN GOD.
You say you studied to further you knowledge about all faiths...so tell me which faith doesn't have a religous text reffered to as a bible of some sort? It's not that I pre-judged your belief as you claim just common sense. Neither did I say you are Christian.
I only asked questions that you blatanly ignored and then attack me, by accusing ME of attacking you! I know why you didn't answer my questions because you can't, period. I stated a fact that childrens minds are impressionable then you start blabbering like it proves your loosey defined point. Its great that you were raised agnostic, so tell me how do you believe in something when you're not fully commited to it?
How can you believe in a god and not be religous, thats silly. That just proves you're a liar. You're willing to run around saying my god this, my god that until faced with evidence then like a shit covered coward you crawl to science in an feeble attempt to disasociate yourself from religous cooks. You're either ALL in, or not apart of it at all!
I don't think it is ignorant for a person to look into other faiths.
Yes, it is a good thing that you're making your own decisions. How do you mean I only see two boxes, how many boxes are there!? How many of these so called boxes you speak of has had a greater influence on any civilazation than science? Really there's only one box!
Explain to me what you mean by rule out stuff, stuff like what?

Theories like deism, pantheism, panentheism, polydeism, autotheism all believe in Deity however don't believe in the concept of construct religion. I mean haven't you heard of the Domino Effect?
To be honest, I'd rather be associated to "religious cooks" than atheists. Not one person who believes in something different has pre judged me on my view and how I interpret God yet you're calling me all names under the sun just because I believe in something and have faith.
None of our opinions are going to change however honestly what am I doing so bad? I posted this in an experience where people have similar views towards me, meaning I wasn't intending people who don't agree with me to be forced my view. Like my parents, I'm going to give my child the freedom to believe in what they like, I'll let them explore religion and science.
To be honest, I'm cool with anyone believing in anything, I mean I have friends who believe in atheism but I'm not going to change. I know it's ignorant but my spiritual side keeps me going and besides, believing in panentheism doesn't take away the fact science doesn't exist. Look up some of them theories at the beginning, you might be surprised actually.
Besides, even if you the teachings The New Testament, what is the big deal? Jesus was a good person. He didn't judge anyone. Even if it isn't true, the morals of being a good person and not judging people are good to have anyway.

pipe the fuck down wintersunshine, you're pretty much a kid too and you sure as fuck don't have the answers to these existential questions, like all of us! Your attempts to hurt other's faith won't bring you any closer to the ultimate truth.
