Oh the sheer irony of asking god to prevent you from doing something detrimental (like putting your faith in an imaginary all powerful friend!)

I'm pretty undecided on the concept of God. Is it an all powerful figure or is it the collective conscious of all life on Earth? Is God's power just a summation of the psychic energy of all the humans combined? I'm not a Christian by faith. I'm still exploring spirituality.
