I have never understood why fundamental militant atheists don't appear to be capable to have a grasp on simple concepts like gods, faith, evidence.
I wonder if it is something specific to ex-Christians. They always seem to think that they've been cheated or robbed of something.
Faith doesn't mean you don't have the evidence to make a rational decision. It should mean that you have acquired the evidence to your satisfaction even though you can't be absolutely certain. Faith in your child, spouse, money, government, friends etc.
Even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even evidence based faith in science.
Huh?

@PutinOntheRitz Are you talking to me, Madame Curie? When I look at your posts all I hear is the ocean.

@SW-User You don't have my thoughts and prayers. If it were up to me there would be no religion, and that includes militant fundamentalist atheists with their science. I didn't fail science in middle school, it bored me. I told the idiots what they wanted to hear. And by the way, I was an atheist until I was long out of school. When you were singing hymns in church camp. Science is the same as anything else man does. Stop worshiping it and maybe it won't continue being a belief system for idiot disgruntled "Christians" turned atheists. Out of the frying pan into the nuclear winter.

So, no religion? What would you post about?
If science bored you, then you are a fool.
Ok, sure…given your other posts, it’s easy to see that you don’t spend a lot of time reading and studying the Bible and theological texts.
….or perhaps you just copy and paste ?
I never went to church camp, although I could have.
I don’t worship anything. The scientific method is a tool, that’s all it will ever be.
However, it’s proven to be far better that prayer ever has been..
The old joke of why aren’t there faith healers in hospitals, is proof enough.
😂😂
If you think science is so bad, save money and drop your health insurance.
Don’t drive a car, and for damn sure unplug and throw away any electronic device.
Sarcasm is hard for you, I don’t need thoughts or prayers.
Fuck wit

Faith in your child, spouse, money, government, friends etc.
Not the same thing.Having “faith” in people , spouse , your child, is based on past experience, and confidence in traits you are familiar with.
You have faith in your wife because she has been consistent before, and you know how she thinks and behaves. The odds favor your continued belief in her.the same goes for money, government, etc.
Faith in a god however isn’t consistent. God’s existence is more questionable now than before. Not everyone believes anymore.
And they’re not quite about it.

There are a couple of types of faith. You are only talking about having faith that God is there. The other faith is a leap of faith. Faith to follow through with something you feel God is leading you to

@Axeroberts the action is based on?
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@SW-User i mentioned it already. If you feel God is guiding you to something then it is your faith as an action in following through

@Axeroberts there is a great deal to unpack in that comment. Without offending anymore people, I am going to leave it without comment.
