We Do NOT Become Angels When We Die
Humans do not become angels upon death. We keep our distinct identity.
For example, at the Battle of Armageddon, Jesus comes back with His Army of angels and Saints. The Bible describes a saint as anyone who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, so we can see the two groups coming out of heaven with Jesus, all on white horses and wearing white robes, on their way to fight for Israel.
Now you may wonder why God's army of Saints and angels, are wearing WHITE ROBES, if they're going to fight in a Bloody War! That's just it. They are not GOING to be fighting. They are going to accompany the Lord while He destroys every one of them that are evil, with just the breath of His mouth!
The Saints and Angels accompany Him to celebrate the victory with Him and give HIM the glory He deserves, after the way He was treated when He was here on Earth. No one is more deserving than HE to be worshiped and glorified!
But wait -- doesn’t Revelation say there was a war so bloody that the blood came up to the horses bridals? Yes it does! And that's the way it will happen. The Antichrist and the Beast will make war against Israel which is recorded in the Bible to be the bloodiest battle in the history of the Earth. They will fight against Israel but that's when Jesus and His army shall come in all their Glory and defeat the Antichrist and the Beast and all that fight against Israel.
2 Thessalonians 2:8 says: "And then the LAWLESS ONE will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming."
The "lawless one" is the Antichrist.
• He’s a man, not an angel, not a demon.
• He’s lawless. He considers himself above all law.
• He claims to be God. 2 Thessalonians 2:4 — "who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
The first three and a half years of the tribulation, the Antichrist will be very charming and persuasive, acting like the good guy. But then he tries to take over Israel and he defiles the temple by sitting in it pretending to be God. That's the Abomination of Desolation.
That's when he demands the mark of the Beast. Anyone who wants to eat or sell must take the number, and anyone who doesn't shall not be able to eat or buy anything. He wants their sole devotion and worship as their "god".
That's when Jesus comes back during the war and shows him who's boss.
Key Differences Between Humans and Angels:
Different Natures: Angels are created as separate spiritual beings without bodies, while humans are designed as a unity of body and soul.
Different Roles: Angels act as ministering spirits, while believers are created as children of God and heirs with Christ.
Matthew 22:30 is sometimes misunderstood. We will be "as the angels" ... only in that we do not marry - not that we become angels. We'll certainly be holy and sinless like the angels. Made perfect by God and given a new name!!!
Revelation 2:17: “To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a NEW NAME written on it, known only to the one who receives it”.
I hope you enjoyed this study. These things just tell us that it's time to turn our hearts and lives over to Jesus. He's the only one in this world that can truly save us. He tells us not to delay putting off our salvation.
Today is the day of salvation. This decision must be made before we die, not afterwards. God did not make hell for us. He made a way out for us.
God bless you.
