Why are many American Christians so opposed to immigration? That's directly in violation of their religion. [Spirituality & Religion]

The bible contradicts itself in a lot of ways on a lot of subjects, but it is very consistent on the subject of immigration. The bible is extremely pro-immigration. There is an abundance of bible verses about "treating the sojourner as your friend or neighbor" and "inviting them to your feasts."

I don't know anyone who is opposed to immigration. Obviously, you can't tell the difference between legal and illegal.

@katielass Trump is also planning to cut legal immigration.

@SW-User I don't believe trump is the Christian spokesman. He's the president with the power to regulate who is allowed here.

@PissAndVinegar No, I'm afraid you don't know anything. The sane people are against illegal immigration. And many of us are in favour of limiting immigration to those who can take care of themselves, meaning people with skills or useful knowledge, like scientists. I'm sure some right thinking people are Christians but your premise that "Christians are against immigration" is false. There are just as many, if not more, Christians who want this country to take in every last person on earth who doesn't have 3 TV's and a home. Some of them even hide illegals in their churches.
