The bible contradicts itself in a lot of ways on a lot of subjects, but it is very consistent on the subject of immigration. The bible is extremely pro-immigration. There is an abundance of bible verses about "treating the sojourner as your friend or neighbor" and "inviting them to your feasts."

First of all, if a person is opposed to immigration, then they must belong to some extremist sect. Illegal immigration, and the taking in of refugees is the issue. Illegal immigration is illegal and poses a threat to national security. Taking in refugees from Syria and vicinity also poses a threat to national security, and public safety. We have western Europe as a model to prove that.
