why do alot of preachers have a bone to pick with single guys? [Spirituality & Religion]

Apparently this a growing trend in churches where pastors will spend a take it upon themselves to bash all the men for not having wives and tell them to "put down the video games and man up!" Why is this a growing trend? and don't the realize that this does more harm than good?

If it is about the video game playing or whatever, the reason why is because that is what kids do. But as you get older (age) and get out of the house after graduating high school, you have to start thinking and maturing. That means get a job, pay bills on time, etc. it also means get a job and keep a job, not quit because you're lazy.
