Is Hell a real place? [Spirituality & Religion]

I grew up going to a southern Baptist church where we were taught that Hell was very real but I read somewhere Hell was a concept the Romans came up with to scare people. I have also read that in the bible nothing over eternally suffering was mentioned originally. So is Hell real or not?

Yes it is real, we choose not to believe it. if there is no hell then there is no consequence. however hell is not the final place.
