Is Hell a real place? [Spirituality & Religion]

I grew up going to a southern Baptist church where we were taught that Hell was very real but I read somewhere Hell was a concept the Romans came up with to scare people. I have also read that in the bible nothing over eternally suffering was mentioned originally. So is Hell real or not?

The only place Hell is real is in the heads of believers. Sure, there's the lake of fire and torment in the bible but really, do you actually believe it exists? I'd say read your bible and ask yourself "does this make sense?"
