Is there any good evidence that jesus was a real person? [Spirituality & Religion]

I mean obviously there's no evidence of the supernatural aspects of his character, but is there anything that tells us that jesu was a real guy?

No. 2.2 billion people are being duped by a hoax perpetrated by a few hundred Jews and Romans. Happens all the time. The real amazing thing is those hundreds of thousands who have gladly gone to painful deaths in the name of a fictional character! Those pranksters must have been some real smart dudes!

@Celine: Enjoy your game! There are plenty of written accounts, but you won't accept them. You don't have any other intention than to entertain yourself. Everybody does it to one extent or another. I won't judge you, but I won't play your game either. You have the evidence available at your finger tips. You either believe it or you don't. It's just pretty unlikely that people endured the kind of death and suffering that people endured within years of a fictional character's death. We both know this. Have fun.

@Celine: It's a standard christian argument. They claim they have piles of irrefutable evidence but refuse to present it on the grounds they know you won't believe it. That must be because they either don't have any evidence or they know you'll be able to refute whatever BS they present as evidence.
You guys are funny! I never claimed to have any irrefutable proof. I made it very clear that you have the same access to information that I do, and it's your choice to believe or no believe. You're just playing a game that makes you feel smug. Like I said. Enjoy!

@puck61: The information I have access to provides no evidence to support the hypothesis that there is a god. It's a matter of evaluating that information, not simply one choosing what to believe.
@suzie1960: Are we talking about a god or a historical figure whose life is not very well documented in non religious texts? All this time I thought we were talking about the existence of a man. That "Son of God" issue is a whole other can of worms.

@puck61: I accept there were and still are people going by the name Jesus but not that any of them were the "son of god" - that's just a fairy story.
