Why do people call Christians homophobic when it's the Islamic countries who execute homosexuals? [Spirituality & Religion]

I have nothing against people of either religion, so don't take offence. I know people who are in both of these religions and they are very nice, it just kinda rubs me off when people are always making posts of how homophobic Christians are yet there are others who kill homosexuals for what they are.

Also don't start arguments or religious debates in the answers please, thanks

It is ironic, indeed. However, because they execute homosexuals doesn't actually mean being a homophobe or homophobic. They just hate gays. Being a homophobe would actually mean being afraid of gays, which sounds utterly ridiculous.

@adhane05: apparently it does also mean dislike so you could just dislike gays and still be homophobic

That's what I used to think but apparently society has changed the meaning.

@randompi: The word has become just another meaningless insult to throw at someone who even questions gay people

@Firespirit: Not in my world. I won't accept it.

@adhane05: I stopped caring about what people call me long ago

@randompi: Pretty sure more people are afraid of women than they are of gays. 😅
