Considering that's what they wanted when they built the country. I'd say yes. It's pretty much anti-American when you try to erase history and forget everything as if it never was.
The way the world is going though in 200 years America will be burnt to the ground and text books will read about how vicious pig men used to roam these lands and -insert country here- were the good guys that battled them to their deaths...
