I wonder if christians realize what happens when you die. [Spirituality & Religion]

I know for a lot of christians the idea is that you shuffle off this mortal coil and start partying hard in HEAVAAAAN!😎
I think that's what most people think when they think about it at all.
But what is the biblical support for that idea? As far as i know, when you die you go to sleep. And you stay asleep until christ returns. And THEN you gut up into heaven.

Could be. Although of course that might just mean there is still activity in your brain and you're just not quite dead. Or it could mean that there's just residual activity in the brain as the electrical energy from your cerebral functions dissipates
