I wonder if christians realize what happens when you die. [Spirituality & Religion]

I know for a lot of christians the idea is that you shuffle off this mortal coil and start partying hard in HEAVAAAAN!😎
I think that's what most people think when they think about it at all.
But what is the biblical support for that idea? As far as i know, when you die you go to sleep. And you stay asleep until christ returns. And THEN you gut up into heaven.

There are practically 100,000 different theories on that among the sects of Christianity. (exaggeration for the sake of emphasis of course)

but just a few words later it makes clear that Jesus did not go to paradise for three days....so......
Then there are 11 verses in the old testament that clearly state that there is absolutely no life after death!
Just like Cain's banishment and wandering. It's a whole lot of (????)

Well that's not at all surprising considering christianity is just tacked on to judaism. According to the jews there was no afterlife. If you were good with god, you got bitches and cows. If you weren't then he'd kill you and your family and anyone who happened to be standing too close at the time
