Christians often glibly describe an "atheist position" as believing nothing happened to nothing for a long time until it became something. [Spirituality & Religion]

My question to you is why do you assume that an atheist should think that in the beginning there was nothing?
Why should we assume there was nothing? That nothing is the default position which something must replace?

The ones i know personally tend to be smart. The ones i meet on here tend to be a little on the ignorant side lol. And many on the belligerently close-minded side
