the electron was not discovered until 1897 but obviously existed before it was discovered. Why then is proof of God's existence the determining factor to His existence?

Proving God's existence or non-existence has never been a good plan. It's a poor way of determining truth. Could God exist? The discovery of electrons does nothing to aid such a conclusion, as no rational argument can be built around it.

@Axeroberts: I never suggested that. I implied that only a fool would think the possibility of God existing is enhanced by the discovery of some new thing.
