Let's put this sophistry to the test.

Name one fact about the natural universe that is mentioned in the bible (or the quran) that was not known before appearing in that book, and which has subsequently been confirmed by science.
I do not believe in the Quran. I just gave a whole list, and I'm not debating with you, as you say in your profile you're an atheist anyway, so there's no point. @newjaninev2:

@GraceFromEP: So you blocked newjaninev2 and ran away?

Your list is nonsense. Why don't you want anyone to look closely at your list?
There are people on here that want to learn. Not argue. She is agnostic which is fine, but I'm too old to spend time on people who just wish to take my time arguing, while others are genuinely seeking answers. I've done that in the past and it goes on and on. I won't do that anymore. I see you want to do the same, saying my list is nonsense. Unless your name is God, your opinion of me doesn't matter, and I don't need your approval.. @crowbait6245:

Sounds really interesting when i read the bible it sounded more illogical. Also the creation of the earth in 7 days etc.

Also there was a person before who said religion and science fits with islam. This was quite fascinating too.
But i don't know. For that i have to read the books more
@Unicorn: It is not out of context at all. How can that be? That is what they believe. I didn't make it up. Rather than write that all out, I put that there. I'm just showing the contrast. The Bible will never make sense to any who have not been born again, so that the Holy Spirit can interpret it for them. We'll just have to gree to disagree on this one.

People say God is a killer, without knowing the story behind things. They take verses out of context, without reading the whole story and finding out what really went on there, so yes...it's not going to make sense.

God does things for a reason and we are not to judge him. He's perfect. He does not make mistakes. He's not willing that any perish. When there were wars, God was protecting His children, as he always does.

What we have in other verses is this, for example: The children of Moab comprised a smaller tribe within the larger federation of tribes referred to as Midianites, or simply Midian. Earlier in the book of Numbers, we learn that the Israelites "began to play the harlot with the daughters of Moab" (25:1). Moreover, the Israelites attended the sacrifices of the Moabites, they ate among the Moabites (perhaps partaking of foods God had declared unclean), and they bowed down to the Moabites' gods, including Baal (25:2,3). God judged Israel for her harlotry, both spiritual and literal.
@GraceFromEP: what they believe
Sure. It is ok.

Science fits very well with basic Paganism.
