The twelve day Festival of Ridván, celebrated April 21 to May 2, is considered the holiest for members of the Bahá'í Faith. During those dates in 1863, Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith, left Baghdad and entered gardens now known as the Garden of Ridván, which means paradise in Arabic.
The Baha'i Faith, the world's newest independent global belief system, teaches the oneness of God, the unity of humanity and the essential harmony of religion. Baha'is believe in peace, justice, love, altruism and unity.
The Kitáb-i-Aqdas or Aqdas is the central book of the Bahá'í Faith written by Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the religion, 1853-1873. It has the same status as the Quran for Muslims or the Bible for Christians.

April 21 is the first day of Ridvan

@Paschar: I don't think I'll ever consider myself a Bahai, but it think the faith is really beautiful. And there is definitely a big spot in my heart for them.
