Yes, mainly. Although there are a few interesting things about it. It's either my imagination or people born at certain times of the year can exhibit similar characteristics which can be dominant in their basic personalities.

As far as the fortune telling part of it, I think that is false and inhabited by confidence tricksters. The future cannot be foretold.

Also interestingly, the Meyers/Briggs personality test which is used by many companies now to check the personalities of employees in order to deploy them efficiently at work, has it's roots in Carl Jung's personality typology tests. And his tests were also based on his studying of Astrology and the effects it can have on us Humans.

@beaisforbliss: Well...thanks ! BA was a sudden and pleasant surprise. I think researching it with an open but thoughtful mind is the best idea.

Question those who claim to be authority figures in certain areas. Question all authority, including those who told you to question authority...:-) Thanks for BA.

@Wraithorn: Thank you! I always say that too. Question everything. I never want to be one of those gullible people who believes everything they read. And certainly not whatever anyone tells me.

@beaisforbliss: Good. Many of us people can't help but try and look beyond what can be seen. My general rule is, when someone asks for money or tries to limit me with a doctrine then I turn and walk away. A cool saying just popped into my mind so I'll share it here just for interest sake.

"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it". --Aristotle

@Wraithorn: That's a marvelous quote! I've never heard that but it doesn't surprise me that Aristotle said it. He was a cool dude. Okay. You're fascinating. We're pals now. (:

@beaisforbliss: Cool. I won't perv you with requests for nudes or constant PM's . I'm odd in other ways. Send me a PM any time you like if need be. I can't always promise that I'll respond quickly though.

@Wraithorn: While it true that 90% or more of psychics are entertainers, I have had my own future foretold 100% accurately at least three times, years in advance in some cases, and not all were events which I wanted to happen, either. I have also seen glimpses of my own future in some of my dreams, all of which which came to pass exactly as I saw in the dreams, months or even years later in some cases.

As for Astrology, I've has my natal chart plotted, and it does indeed describe my entire personality very accurately. While Astrology is not about predicting future events, it is useful to predict how two people will or won't get along from an emotional, and intellectual personality perspective, or more specifically, the emotional and intellectual challenges and advantages they will face together as a couple.
