@Faerylight: The Old Testament Laws were different then when Jesus came.
In the Old Teatament the Israelites were a witness to the whole world about the righteousness of God. They were the witness to the truth. I still think you cherry pick verses and act like you know something you don't.

@Pfuzylogic: I picked one example among many where the man made rules of the OT were ludicrous. You may wish to spend your time justifying why God was so concerned with nuts, wanted people to kill their disobedient children, ordered genocides or clarifying when bashing a slave becomes unacceptable (if the slave dies) - but don't admonish me as not knowing what I'm talking about.

The modern world has done a much better job than the ancient Israelites of coming up with laws to govern society

Why 'God made laws ' are needed and better - given the ones claimed to be by God in both the Quran and Bible are pretty crazy - and what God is doing fretting over acts of nut grabbing to the extent he feels compelled to specify "show her no mercy"-along with his command to cut off the hand of anyone engaging in such an act

And why just during a fight? Shouldn't this nut grabbing legislation be universal?
