Can christians [Spirituality & Religion]

(I am one btw) please STOP trying to 'save' people. Smh, so many people use 'Jesus will save you (from hell basically)' as a way to get people to follow god, you're missing the whole point! Being a Christian (I hate generalising but it's easier for the sake of not writing an essay lol) is about living in love and god is love. So I would really advise to stop fear mongering people in getting them to believe in god (which by the way- usually has the opposite effect in the fact people will just get pissed off that you think they're bad people going to hell in the first place). Sorry I guess it's your choice but please think about it🤓

I always try to think about how I would want someone to witness to me. I wouldn't want someone telling me that I'm going to hell if I don't accept God into my life. I would want them coming to me in love.

they have no other choice if they dont recruit they will die out, the only people who will follow a religion these days is someone who either is born into one or is convinced or coerced during a time of hardship, nobody looks at a list of religions online and just chooses one that sounds cool to them because that would be just plain dumb. they make their own choices and conclusions based on what they perceive.

Yeah I agree that life is becoming easier to live due to science and so people generally don't question much else. But it's funny how even celebrities, who have it all, have said once they have it all they still feel like something is missing.

@Itsprincess: you probably shouldn't use celebrities as an example, everybody knows that off camera they are nothing but scared little children. did you see katy perrys face during that radio award show? they were yelling at her to pay attention to that one kid and as soon as the camera was turned on her eyes widened like a deer in head lights then darted towards the kid like her life depended on it, and her life did depend on it because if she does not do exactly as she is told then they will find some newer younger hotter dumber girl with big boobs to take her place. so of course something is missing in them, its a healthy mind.

I agree with this even though i'm muslim but i can relate because i have a cousin who 'preaches' islam by fear mongering. To be honest i hate the way she talks about it, because it makes people think that all muslims are alike and I don't wanna be associated with someone who uses phrases like "God hates disbelievers" No, he doesn't [i]hate[/i], please stop🙄😒

I just find the whole concept of coercion into belief through fear to be ridiculous. So Christians tell me I'm going to hell, Muslims tell me I'm going to hell...yet both believe the other is going to hell...it's nothing but a last resort for people who can't make their beliefs seem appealing without scaring them into it.

I agree with you. Since I became a Christian, my sensitivity to certain things has increased, especially with intense proselytizing. It can drive you up the wall

no I never said that. I said fear mongering is an ineffective and bad way to try convert people into believing in god; people should believe in god because they want to live in goodness not because they're just wanting to avoid hell. I didn't say that I think promoting Christianity is bad. I'm saying promoting christianity by trying to make people fearful is bad in my opinion. I'm fine when people are talking about Christianity in a positive way but when it's like 'you're gonna go to hell and you're not adequate right now' then it just looks really condescending x
