What happened when you were out of your body?

Nothing much, Just looked down at myself asleep in the bed. That's all I can remember. I was not very old. It was sort of spooky, but I wasn't afraid..

I just know that buddhists also use meditation to get to the outer body state, but it's very interesting you had this too at such young age.

I think I might have been 5 or 6 and was not well at the time. I could also see my mother next me, and something connecting me to my body. I am sure some people will think this ridiculous, but I can recall this as though it were yesterday.

Of course, often such experiences are very vivid and clear, it's hard to explain and proof something you could have only seen yourself, but I do believe it's real that we are more than our earthly bodies.

You may be right. I also find there can be a psychic connection between people who are very close. Like when we are in a relationship.

@Bonzocat: Like I've only been with my girl a year, but I know when she's gonna call me on the cell phone; about five or ten seconds before it rings I get the feel that she wants to talk to me.

I'd relate my out of body astral travel experience, but the naysayers would boo me off the stage. Yes being spirually attuned can give you perceptions others don't experience. But spiritual is beyond the reach of those who reject it out of hand. I don't, I'm studying under a shaman.
