Christian witch? [Spirituality & Religion]

I grew up in a christian family and i put alot of value in the teaching in regards to morality however I have spent years studying the occult arts as well in both gypsy fortune telling and modern witchcraft. Is it possible to be both well versed in these arts and still be considered good in the eyes of god
Jesus says in his Word, that no one is "good" in Romans 3:10. Not even one. That is, all have sinned. 1 John 1:8 states that, "if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." These verses tell us that we cannot earn our way to heaven. It takes Jesus to forgive us our sins, as He is the only Mediator between God the Father, and man. His Word also warns against practicing or using witchcraft.

Yeah! If you just do a bit of researching online, you'll see that there are people who practice both Christianity and witchcraft. Witchcraft isn't about wishing harm onto others so if no harm is being done to yourself or to anyone else, how can witchcraft clash with Christianity?

@goagainsttheflow: yeah I think it is fine as neither belief is likely to have basis in reality. They aren't hurting anyone.

@goagainsttheflow: so as long as im not hurting anyone it can be acceptable? My local priest said something similar when I asked him.

@NeloAngelo: Yes.

Being "good" in the eyes of god doesn't cut it. In order to reach Heaven you must be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT IN EVERY WAY! Obviously human beings cannot do this. The only way is to accept Jesus as your personal savior.

Wiccans are good in the eyes of the Wiccan deities. Followers of other, intolerant, religions might not think them good in the eyes of their gods but you're only answerable to your (Wiccan) gods.

I would advise you to learn how to perform miracles with God's help. Follow Jesus' footsteps.

Something like a faith healer?

I think so. The Creator knows where your heart is, so I don't think it's an issue.

I have to ask... How do you know?
NeloAngelo · 26-30, M
How do I know what?
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@NeloAngelo: my apologies, I misread. You asked a question in your OP but it had a period as though it were a statement.

I think the existence of the abrahamic god is so unlikely as to border on certainly non existent so I doubt it cares.

If you are going by the bible:

Revelation 21:8 - But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

@NeloAngelo: I haven't consulted Jesus on this issue.
