Let's be realistic here: "God's Word" shows a deity who has no problems with the slaughter of innocent children; plenty of Egyptians could easily attest to that, and His insistence on the continued celebration of Passover, which is essentially "heap endless praises on me for not also killing YOU while I was murdering innocents" makes it pretty clear that He'd be all for this sort of thing.

That said, this IS still an issue, and a sign of worrisome slacking in water purification.
