Where do u run off to ?

There was once an enlightened mahatma(saint) sharing his knowledge n grace with some willing people. A strong storm starting building up, so strong that even the metallic sheds started flying off the house roofs. With all the knowledge enlightened being shared nothing seemed to help the anxiety of people listening to him. As the storm picked up strength they all Started scattering very fast looking for shelter. At one point everyone ran off, and saint closed his eyes sitting out in the open all by himself. later when the storm pacified and everyone re approached saint, found him sitting in same posture with all his calm n compose, people asked how come you didn feel the fear and ran for shelter. He told u fools I also ran, but u ran outside I ran off inside.
A similar story depicting same thought, in life of Buddha when a boulder started rolling off the clif, at the base of which he and his disciples were having a spiritual discussion, everyone ran off as they were directly on the path of the rolling boulder, but buddha didn. He closed his inside absorbed in samadhi, as it happened the big boulder struck a little rock on its way down, cracked into two, both halves passed on either side of Buddha, a small pebble hit his toe and blood started flowing. After disciples approached attended to him, buddha said there must be little fault and absorption wasn't fully deep enough, that's why this pebble hit me otherwise there wud have been not a single scratch. Thats the law of nature, if someone is deeply absorbed inside, their body becomes indestructible and it can't die.

Yes. Some do stick their heads in the sand, when confronted with danger.

Fear exists for a reason. Yet no two people react, to that fear, the same.

Therefore some continued, while others do not, for a reason.

Nothing is absolute. Therefore indestructible is can not exist.

Yes, life is change. Yet the method of change is up to us.

Chose wisely the method of change. The odds will eventually catch up.

@Om2014 please heed the warning of inaction in all of that.

Life is change. No change, no existence.

@DeWayfarer 🙏 Only change is permanent as you mentioned. I totally agree.
