Do you live somewhere between the holy and the hood?

Please tell me I'm not the only one whose entire life feels like a tug of war between Jesus take the wheel and bitch I dare you.

Like one minute I'm out here trying to radiate peace and sipping my coffee and telling myself I'm too blessed to be stressed. And the very next second, somebody is breathing too loud or looking at me sideways or leaving their cart in the middle of the damn grocery aisle. And suddenly at that point, I'm ready to fight demons with my bare hands. It's a wild mix, right?

Half the time I'm praying for patience and the other half I'm DuckDuckGoing if bail money is tax deductible.

People out here think just because you love Jesus, you won't throw hands. But even the disciples carried knives. And maybe that's the truth of it. Maybe we're all just bouncing between saint and savage. One moment, hallelujah, and the next moment, say that again, I dare you.

If that's you, you're not crazy. You're not two-faced. You're just human with a little bit of fire and a whole lot of don't mess with me energy.

And that's perfectly okay. If you live somewhere between the holy and the hood.

Not at all. I'm kind and respectful without the threat of a hell I don't believe in. And I have my fun too. So, for me it's more a tug of war between being a responsible adult and taking off work when a new video game releases.

We Christians don't make it to eternity with God by being good.. We get there by being forgiven..
