Deep thinking can be achieved when running

I disagree with the Zen masters here. They argue you that you cannot engage in profound thought when moving.

OK, it’s not the time for Zazen.

But you can meditate on The Lords Prayer.

Hallowed by thy name: contemplate on Gods goodness perhaps.

When reaching, “Give us our daily bread” reach out to the people of Gaza Strip, perhaps,
or bring before Him your friends in need.

Also, turning aside from prayer, some of my best ideas have come to me whilst running.

I don't think I would agree with them either. Sometimes the most profound thoughts are when you have to be entirely present with yourself and the world. When upon a bicycle, you have to shed the lingering thoughts of your mind and focus upon what is present in your living engaged life. One slip in your attention and observation, may leave all esoteric thoughts behind.
