We're Living In The Last Days

That's the truth and no amount of disbelief will change it. The book of Revelation tells us what God is about to do in the end times. Some may ridicule and mock it as foolishness due to lack of understanding it but they'll never stop the events in this book from happening.

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants--things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,
2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.
3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet,
11 saying, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last," and, "What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."
12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands,
13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.
14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire;
15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters;
16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
19 Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this.
20 The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.

Revelation 1:1-20

For those who are being saved, it's the power of God. We look forward to Christ's return and the hope that He brings with Him. Amen.

Nobody knows the day or the hour, not even you

Then why should anyone listen to you ? We’ve survived a lot worse before.

@DocSavage
Then why should anyone listen to you ?

They shouldn't but they, including you, Doc, should pay attention to what God is saying to them in His Word.
@GodSpeed63 Why? When much of it is self-contradictory, ridiculous, irrelevant or just plain evil?
DocSavage · M
@GodSpeed63
And what is he telling us ?
Brown nose my kid, and I won’t fry you for all eternity. My answer to that is “Blow Me” all you had to do is create one little fence around one little tree.

His word sounds more like a threat, than advice from a loving god will love and good intentions. What good is free will, if you have to submit to everything or get thrown in to the pit ? Disagreement Doesn’t automatically mean malice or malicious intent.

@Adeptlinguist @DocSavage
Why?

For our sake. God knows how this fallen world of ours will end and.desires that none of us be lost when it does come to an end. So, be ready.

Who said anything about changing or stopping it ? You misunderstood the situation. You say god has the end of days planned in advance. Everyone and everything are locked in a fate they can’t change. Prayer, redemption, repentance are all meaningless. God can’t save anyone without risking changing the entire creating. So you’re going to Hell, no matter what you say or do. There’s no way you can know for sure , one little forgotten sin, and you’re toast. That’s the problem with “intelligent design “ you can always miss something. Constantly trying to fix it, will make it worse.
No, a practical god, would just start the mechanism.then sit back and watch the results.letting events unfold naturally, and reward or punish accordingly.
Otherwise why bother. Use your powers to skip ahead to end game.after all time is meaningless if you haven’t created yet. Who will know the difference?
You must think god has it easy.

Who said anything about changing or stopping it ?

You have, Doc, plenty of times by your disbelief.
@GodSpeed63 The "book of revelation" is fantasy fiction, but without the entertainment value.

Whether you believe the book of revelation is fantasy or not, doesn't matter. What you believe will not stop those events from taking place. Be ready.

Free will gives us the right not to believe. I believe in evolution for example, you don’t. The fact you don’t believe doesn’t change the evidence for it. Wether or not you believe it is a matter of personal choice.

As Ken Ham says, “were you there”
The pastis done, but the future is still open and fluid.
@GodSpeed63 Oh give it a rest!

Free will gives us the right not to believe.

You're right, we do have freedom to believe or not to believe. No one can take that from us. We also have the responsibility in the Truth of God and not the lie of Satan. God offers us the ability to distinguish Truth from lie, all we need to do is take it.

@GodSpeed63
Now you’re saying that free will is a lie again, and doesn’t exist.
You’re assuming god’s authority is automatically the right choice. God created Satan, to give him perspective. He can’t distinguish right from wrong without an opposing point of view, god and Satan are bound by their nature to be each end of the scale.
Only a third perspective can decide, that’s the value of free will.
Remember, “the road to Hell, is Often paved with good intentions “

@DocSavage
Now you’re saying that free will is a lie again, and doesn’t exist.

Freedom without responsibility isn't freedom at all, but, you already know that, Doc, unless you're really some snot-nosed kid still wet behind the ears.
DocSavage · M
@GodSpeed63
Again, what makes you so certain that humans can’t act responsible ? God screws up despite the fact he not only sees the future, he writes it.
Your saying god is blameless, but he’s really in charge. He’s actually the one making our choices. Pointing our way to Armageddon.
Why should we have faith in a god, who says he loves us, but has no faith in our ability to grow ?
DocSavage · M
@GodSpeed63
And just a reminder as you are moving off subject.
I am not arguing mankind’s ability to think with or without god’s influence.
I am saying any prearranged plan, renders free will null and void.
His plan for last days is already set in stone, then Hell is already predestined.
It is unfair of god to deny people not even born yet the right of salvation.
GodSpeed63 · 70-79, M
@DocSavage
Again, what makes you so certain that humans can’t act responsible ?

You and others like you.
@GodSpeed63 Please cite examples of irresponsible acts by this user “and others”.
DocSavage · M
You and others like you.
I don’t have the power to influence reality on that kind of scale. Neither do you.
You said it god calling the shots
GodSpeed63 · 70-79, M
@Adeptlinguist @DocSavage
Please cite examples of irresponsible acts by this user “and others”

Suppressing the Truth of God. That's the best example of being irresponsible.
@GodSpeed63 You are, presumably, joking?

Any “god” worthy of the claims made for it would not be bothered by a mere atheist like me mocking it.

As for responsibility- do you really think its responsible to brainwash innocent children into believing in nonsense rather than understanding reality?
