How do you know your religion is true? [Spirituality & Religion]

I was talking to martinthefirst and he knew his was real because of what he'd read.
But when i pressed for details i was informed that i was too uneducated and close minded.

So i'd like to see if other people have a reason for why they think their religion is true.

"faith" is an acceptable answer

I had a similar conversation with martinthefirst on one of my posts the other day. I think this is an interesting topic to discuss (if one can do so without getting all bent out of shape😁hehehe)!

Anyway, for me, how I feel is like this... I don't want to believe in something of a spiritual nature because it's what people have taught me, or what a religion tells me how I should think of God. I want to believe it because it's what GOD is telling me to believe... it's all about him after all, right? (That is if you believe in God, of course.☺) So, what I wonder is... why the need to pick a religion? Religions were started at different times, in different cultures, among different races, within civilizations facing different needs... what if God has been revealed to us in ALL religions?

I realize this doesn't directly answer your question... but if someone believes in God, and they feel that one of the religions out there is the true one... well, there's gonna be a whole heck of a lot of people that are wrong in their religion! Would God really abandon so many people because they chose the 'wrong' religion?... I certainly hope not!

I have definitely heard the idea that everybody worships the same god, he just reveals himself differently.
Which i a nice work around but i''m not sure it's a totally coherent idea.
