Why do some continue to play guessing games with science when God has all the answers?

Why is their fear of hell so great that it drives them to trade the Truth of God with the lie of evolution?

Science simply doesn't have the tools to prove nor disprove God. God is far above science, outside of time. God was here way before science ever existed, and it attempts to study and explain only the natural world, while God, is Supernatural. However, that does not mean God cannot be proven. I was about to write a post about that. I'll try to put it up within the next few days, but you're right...science still points to God.
