Exactly! I sure don't know how anybody could not love God, after all he did to save us from hell... Even giving up his own life and thinking about us first as he hung on the cross to pay for our sins, to make sure we didn't miss heaven. Nobody else would do that for us and nobody has, nor ever could. Salvation is never based on our performance. Scripture is crystal clear about that.
