You don't have to clean up, to come to Jesus. Come to Jesus, and get cleaned up by the Holy Spirit which indwells you.

Jesus didn’t say, “I’ll save you, if you promise to stop sinning and be a good person.” In fact, He said quite the opposite, in John 6:37 & 40, “Whoever comes to me, I will never drive away...For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him, shall have eternal life...”

We put far too much pressure on ourselves. Jesus doesn't want us to beat ourselves up. A man doesn’t have to cure his alcoholism before he comes to Christ. When Jesus saved the adulterous woman from being stoned, he didn’t pull her aside and say, “Hey, I can save your life right now, but I need to know for sure that you are never going to sin again.” He didn’t require anything from her at all. He saved her life first, he refused to condemn her, then he told her to “go and sin no more.”

Jesus takes us exactly as we are, but just like the woman caught in adultery, he expects us to “go and sin no more.” When we invite Jesus into our hearts and lives to be our Savior, the Holy Spirit transforms our life, and now we have a desire to be more Christlike.

My heart breaks for the people who believe that they aren’t “good enough” for Jesus. That's a devil's lie. You never have to win God's favor. He already loves you. He's not happy when we sin, however, he loves us as a person and promises to never turn anyone away, who wants him to be their Savior.

We shouldn’t assume that an alcoholic, adulterer, or anyone living in a sinful lifestyle, cannot be saved unless they first stop committing that particular sin. There is no biblical basis for assuming that you have to change any aspect of who you are, before you are accepted by Christ. There is nothing that says you have to stop sinning or even clean your life up, before you can be accepted by Christ. That would defeat the entire purpose of his death and resurrection. Jesus came to save sinners. He loves us just as we are, right at this very moment.

“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Luke 5:31-32

We need Jesus because we are sinners. That isn’t confined to the small “easy to fix” sins. That applies to ALL sins. Jesus loves you exactly as you are. Jesus loves us. Knowing we are sinners, Jesus died for us anyway.

We are broken; we are sinful. Jesus comes in and changes that. If we had the capability to change it and save ourselves, then we wouldn’t have needed Him. He wouldn’t have had to die on the cross. None of that would have been necessary if we could “fix” ourselves. We, who are sinful, cannot rescue ourselves from our own sins. It takes the One who has the power to erase all our sins and make us whole again...Jesus.

The thing that is so wonderful about Jesus, is that he transforms our heart and life. He gives us a brand new life and a brand new start. It’s a change that cannot be described in words, it can only be experienced upon accepting Jesus as our Savior.

You don’t have to change for Jesus. He is the one who changes you.

"There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. And I trust Christ, my Righteousness and my Pardon. My sins are covered. My sins can no longer bring condemnation to me. In Jesus, I have passed from death to life (John 5:24).”

Do you like the play jesus christ superstar?
@TryingtoLava No. Many Christians felt that there was an implied romantic relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene in the story. Others felt that the story was denying Jesus' divinity by portraying him as doubtful, fearful and, at times, angry.
@LadyGrace can you tell me your view on judas? Im jw cuz in any story there hasta be a bad guy but if god chose that bad guy how can we hate him?
@TryingtoLava Yes. Remember this is just my personal opinion and observation. The Bible never says if Judas repented, but I have always felt like he may have, because he showed such a deep sorrow for what he did that he could not even live with himself and he went out and hung himself. I hope and pray that he asked the Lord to forgive him before he hung himself but the Bible doesn't say.
@LadyGrace judas did what god needed? For a bigger picture ofc so then christianity is cuz of his betrayal?
@TryingtoLava We must be careful not to paint Jesus as the bad guy here. Not saying you have, I'm just saying. It was Judas's choice to betray Jesus. However, I don't think he was aware at the time, just what that choice meant, when he took the money in exchange for exposing Jesus for who he is. When he found out what he had actually done because of his greed, he was very sorrowful as we can see from scripture.
@LadyGrace not jesus im saying judas silly didnt god set this all up for his son to spread his message? Did judas make a mistake or did he have to do it?
@TryingtoLava God's character is that he is perfect. He cannot make a mistake. He is sinless. We will get the full story of what happened and why, when we get to heaven. I would hate to speculate further given I don't have the full knowledge of that event.
@LadyGrace i respect that LG <3 but i wont see you in the christian version of heaven :( im not a christian
@TryingtoLava

As I mentioned, Judas realized his mistake and that is obvious from what he did next, and hanging himself. However he still made the choice to betray Jesus.

@TryingtoLava Where do you want to go Lava?
@TryingtoLava There's no Christian version of heaven. There's only what the Bible says about heaven and if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, then you will see heaven, according to what Jesus stated in Scripture. Anyone can have Jesus as Savior. He turns no one away, who wants to be saved.
@TryingtoLava you keep referring to Christianity as a reason for Judas betraying Jesus, so I just want to ask you do you understand what Christianity means? There's two points I would like to make about this:

1. One doesn't have to be a Christian to go to heaven. By that, I mean that in order to go to heaven the Bible says one must accept Jesus as their Savior, and invite him into their hearts and lives and believe that Jesus died for their sins on the cross so they could have their sins forgiven and have eternal life in heaven.

It doesn't matter what denomination are special group anyone belongs to. Denomination has nothing to do with salvation. Anyone can be saved in the world. Also salvation is not based upon our performance. That is whether we do good or bad things. Salvation is based upon or asking Jesus to forgive us of our sins and by his grace, he saves us and accepts us as his child. We then inherit eternal life in heaven with him. Grace means unearned favor from God. In other words we don't have to work our way to heaven by doing good works. It is by God's grace that we are saved.

2. The word Christian simply means a person who believes in Christ, has accepted him as their personal Savior, and follows him in their daily walk.
@TryingtoLava Jesus loves you just as much as he loves anyone on Earth. If you wish to be in heaven with him, and you have asked him to forgive your sins, just like we all do, you will be going to heaven. We don't keep ourselves saved, it is Jesus that keeps us saved. It is his grace that keeps us saved. And when we are saved, we are sealed by God as his child, and that seal is the Holy Spirit which lives in us after we are saved. ❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗
