Some days, as Christians, can be very challenging. Yesterday was one of those days for me. I realized I was fighting a spiritual battle and it was not easy, but with prayer and even repentance, God saw me through.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12
We don't have to be afraid of spiritual battles, but we do need to be on our guard. For that we need God, who is our help, our strength, and One we can go to for the truth.
Truth, because we cannot be listening to the lies of the devil, but find freedom in the truths of God. His truths always sets us free.
To get back on our spiritual track, God's Word reminds us that:
1. We need to embrace the unshakable truth of who we really are in Christ, so we can live a more empowered, peaceful, and purposeful life.
2. What you believe about yourself will shape your whole life… for better or worse.
3. Your self image and identity in Christ, will impact your relationships, your decisions, and determine whether you have the inner strength and resilience to overcome life's challenges.
Remember who you are in Christ:
Embrace your uniqueness: God designed you for a specific purpose that only you can fulfill.
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to help you, not hurt you; plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Renew your mind: Replace negative thoughts with God’s truth, to transform your mind and heart.
"Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is with Christ." – Colossians 3:2-3
Boost your confidence: Understand your true worth and identity, empowering you to overcome life’s challenges.
"Through faith in Christ, we are adopted into God's family (Ephesians 1:5) and given a new identity as a child of God." (John 1:12-13).
Therefore, when we put our faith in Jesus, we become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). It is by God’s love and grace, that he has restored our identity, and made us new!
Build your resilience to withstand trials by grounding your worth in God’s love.
“I have told you these things, so that in Me, you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Gain a deep sense of peace through the promises in God’s Word.
Hebrews 10:23 - "He Who promised is reliable and faithful to His word."
God is faithful. He is full of integrity. We can count on every word He says. He doesn’t say one thing and do another. What He says, He does! He is not “like the world.”
Who does God say you are?
Regardless of what others say or do, He says we are His beloved. He says we are cherished for who we are in His eyes, not because of something we've done or not done. We are precious in His sight, one-of-a-kind, created for a unique purpose.

@val70 Val dear, I don't think you used to feel that way, did you? I know in my heart that God is nothing but good. He doesn't bring on evil and he didn't create it. He loves you more than you will ever know. The person that needs to be blamed is that devil. He will do anything to destroy lives.
@LadyGrace Amen,,,, I can't imagine how or why I would want to wake up in the morning without him or go to bed at night.
It's the people who has the evil hearts who's bringing evil in the world. As people gets more and more evil God has to back away.
I'm so sorry Val that you feel like you do but only you can change it. He's a very loving and gracious God and he never forces his way on anyone. Now is the time to except him before it's to late. 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢
Our world is falling apart at the seams and one day Jesus will come back and trust me you don't want that day to come unless you are ready to meet him.
@LadyGrace That's very kind of yourself. I've been struggle with a calling to priesthood. It's not easy. I've been blocked here just because I do believe in female priests. The other is that a really good friend of mine told me recently that I've been suffering from emotional abuse at my workplace for years now. Somehow I think at times that it's normal. They don't like my dyslexia and I'm sure that they call me autistic behind my back. That and a senior cat plus a father who's in his late 80s, well, those are already three major things. There's more but I don't want to be a bother :)
@val70 oh Val, I'm so sorry to hear about the abuse at work. And it is so rough taking care of the elderly. You're not a bother at all. You have so much on your plate honey. I'm so sorry. ❤🤗
@LadyGrace It's alright. Well, I just wanted to have a collar and a pub in my free time to open up in one of the Celtic countries. I came so close in my first interview. I'm getting old and I'm just wanting to dream a dream. I'm not depressive, just burdened by everything. I wish that I was further in life. Time is ticking away now
