The Amazing Traits of God and His Love For Us

God may not always like what we do, but he loves us as a person, infinitely.
Rom. 8:38, 39 - "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Nothing you have said or done in the past, could ever make God stop loving you or wanting you to come to him.
He is not willing that any perish, but have everlasting life in heaven. Thank God that he does not save us according to our performance, but according to his love, mercy, and grace (unearned favor from God). Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: salvation is a free gift from God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. We never have to earn God's love. He already loves us with all his heart.

He knew you before you were in your mother's womb and knit you together.
Psalms 139:13-14- "For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well."

He has special plans for your life.
To help you, not hurt you. To give you hope, and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

He knows exactly how many hairs you have on your head and when one falls.
Luke 12:6 - "Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? Buteven the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows."

Faithfulness: God is always there for us, even during difficult times.
"I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me." Psalm 16:8

Isaiah 41:10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Gentleness: He is more patient than we'll ever be.
2 Peter 3:9 - "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance".

Mercy: God is always willing to forgive us.
1 John 1:9-10 - "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."

God turns no one away that wants to come to him.
John 6:37-39 - "...whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me."

Hope of Heaven: God gives us the hope of living with Him forever in perfect love and happiness.
Jesus promised that no one who believes in Him, will be turned away: "Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out" (John 6:37).

Who He is, never changes. His attributes are the same from before the beginning of time into eternity. His character never changes – he never gets “better” or “worse.” His plans do not change. His promises do not change.
“I am the LORD; I change not.” (Malachi 3:6). The Bible says He is the Father of lights with whom there is no change or variation (James 1:17). This means God will never be less than He is now, or ever be different from what He has already revealed Himself to be in the past.

His promises are eternal.
"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." 2 Corinthians 1:20 - "For they are the promises of the God of truth of Him that cannot lie, whose truth, as well as mercy! endureth for ever."

He is sinless. He cannot err.
Hebrews 6:18 - "...that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us."

You are constantly on his mind. He proved that on the cross, in how much he loves you. He always has our best interest at heart.
Even on the cross he thought only of you, not himself. Luke 23:34 - Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."

God is not the universe. He created all things.
John 1:3 says, "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

He will never stop loving you, even if you hate him. He proved that at the cross.
Luke 23:34 - Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."
They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing. Matthew 5:44. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

Omnipotence: God is all-powerful.
In the Bible, Psalm 139 describes God as omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent.

Omniscience: God is all-knowing and the supreme judge of all things.
Psalm 25:8-10 - "Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies."[/b]

He is the standard of what is true and false, and is the very nature of truth.
John 14:6 - “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Omnipresence: God is always present and watching.
Psalm 121:8 explains, “The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” He even knows when one of our hairs falls to the ground. Luke 12:7

Love: According to the Bible, "God is love" (1 John 4:8) personified. He loves us intimately and specifically.

Hatred of injustice: God hates and renounces injustice, because it perverts His world.
Proverbs 6 - There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

God does not. and did not, create evil.
When God created the world, everything was “very good” (Genesis 1:31). In fact, it was perfect. There was no sin in the world until man chose to sin, which makes everyone responsible for their sins. God did not create evil, because evil cannot be “created.” It was found in Lucifer's/Satan's heart. He chose it.

God never came to condemn the world, but to save it.
John 3:17 - For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him, might be saved.

If you had been the only person on Earth, he still would have come to save you from the condemnation that sin placed on us.
God is fair. Sin is not. Which is why we need Jesus. It condemns us every time, until we find, and call on Jesus, as Savior. John 3:16 and 17.

He is Alpha and Omega...the beginning and the end. Amen.
Revelation 1:8, 21:6, and 22:13. The term "Alpha and Omega" refers to the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, which is the language used in the New Testament, including the book of Revelation. Jesus' statement that he is the "Alpha and Omega", means that He is the beginning and end of all things.

He is coming back. He never breaks a promise. Will you be ready?

Thank you Grace for this wonderful post. It feels so safe knowing that God is with us every moment of our lives.
@DanielsASJ Yes, he never leaves us and he will never abandon us.
God may not always like what we do, but he loves us as a person, infinitely.

A whole day could be spent talking about this point, I don't know about anyone else but I would not like the worst highlights of my week played back on a screen.
@BritishFailedAesthetic I wouldn't either, but we must remember that our life that will be reviewed in the end, is not for condemnation because there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus and have been saved, but only to help us learn what it is we could have done better. There's no judgment. The Bible says we are justified in Christ Jesus, who saved us from the condemnation sin placed on us, not God.
@BritishFailedAesthetic The best point, being about God loving us infinitely, though we have sinned. He never stops loving us regardless of our sins. No one else does this. He's not willing that any should perish. He is not up there waiting for us to make all the mistakes, so he can punish us, as some would think. He is very slow to anger and he is merciful and he never stops loving us.
