A true story about tiny things with massive outcomes!
This true story really begins in 1988 when I was having a discussion with my Earth Science teacher about what I should do with my life. She thought I should become a pharmacist. I thought about being a meteorologist, maybe even on TV. My high school offered a television production class which I took in 1989-1990. I loved it. I always had a video camera with me. I was vlogging long before it was a word.
I decided to go to college for broadcast telecommunications. In 1992, I was in my professor’s office. He stepped out to make me a photocopy. His phone rang and he told me to answer it. This guy on the phone was asking me a bunch of questions. He eventually asked, “Do you know of anybody who wants to shoot a documentary?” I said,”Yeah! Me!”
I ended up meeting him and would later take photos and shoot an interview with Butch Patrick who played Eddie of “The Munsters” which was an old TV show here in the US. Then I took photos and videotaped 9 of the Munchkins of “The Wizard of Oz” signing 1000 movie posters.
I became friends with one of this guy’s friends who then introduced to a girl who I ended up having two daughters with. I introduced this girl’s best friend to my brother and they got married and they have two daughters also. (Guy A introduced me to Guy B, Guy B introduced me to Girl A, Girl A introduced me to Girl B, I introduced Girl B to my brother).
Their oldest daughter just had her Sweet 16 and that never would have happened if I didn’t answer that phone back in 1992!!
